# FAQ

> Common questions about Oratory's design services, process, and approach

## Brand & visual identity

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Do you handle branding/logo work?">
    Brand work happens naturally alongside website design. We focus on refreshing and extending existing brands rather than complete rebrands. This includes typography, color refinement, imagery style, and visual patterns.

    For full logo redesigns, we offer complete logo redesign services (\$10,000 additional).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What's included in the custom imagery?">
    We create cohesive marketing illustrations and product visuals that tell your story clearly. Homepage gets full custom imagery treatment. Other pages use flexible brand elements and imagery systems that you can extend yourself.

    These aren't raw screenshots—they're custom illustrations designed for marketing impact.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can you match our existing brand?">
    Yes, we work within your existing brand guidelines while elevating the visual execution. We'll refine typography, improve spacing, and create a more polished expression of your brand.

    We focus on brand refresh and extension, not complete rebrands.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What's included in the visual identity refresh?">
    Colors, fonts, typography system, spacing improvements, and design patterns. We'll create a cohesive visual system that works across your homepage and brand assets.

    For the Growth-Ready Website Package, this extends to a complete design system with templates and documentation.
  </Accordion>

## Post-launch management

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Can we manage the site ourselves after launch?">
    Absolutely. Both Framer and Webflow are built for client self-management. We set up CMS templates so you can add blog posts, update text, and create new pages using our templates without touching code.

    Most clients find they can handle 90% of updates themselves after our handoff training.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if we need more pages later?">
    Additional template pages are $1,200 each, or we work at $250/hour for smaller updates. Many clients use our templates to build additional pages themselves after seeing how the system works.

    The Growth-Ready Website Package includes templates specifically designed for this kind of independent expansion.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do you provide training?">
    Yes, we include handoff training showing how to use the CMS, update content, and create new pages from templates. This is included in both packages, with more comprehensive training in the Growth-Ready Website Package.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do you offer ongoing support or maintenance?">
    Our packages are project-based, not ongoing retainers. We focus on delivering your refreshed brand and website quickly and setting you up for independent management.

    If you need ongoing support after delivery, we work at $250/hour for updates, or $1,200 per additional template page.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Process & timeline

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What's the timeline if we start immediately?">
    The complete process takes 10-15 days for Homepage + Brand Extension Package or 20-25 days (4-5 weeks) for Growth-Ready Website Package.

    We typically book 2-4 weeks in advance. The exact start date depends on our current booking pipeline, which we'll discuss during your intro call.

    <Info>
      Popular times (like before fundraising or product launches) book up quickly, so earlier booking is better.
    </Info>
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do you handle feedback and revisions?">
    All feedback is consolidated in Figma during design and in the development platform during build. We require one main point person for feedback to streamline the process and avoid conflicting directions.

    Revisions are built into the process during design and development phases. Changes must be within the defined scope.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if we don't like the initial concepts?">
    The three concept boards represent different stylistic directions. If none resonate, we'll explore why and create additional directions. This is rare because we invest heavily in the discovery phase to understand your preferences.

    However, selecting one direction and refining it produces better results than trying to combine elements from multiple concepts.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can we get the homepage earlier than the full site?">
    For Growth-Ready Website Package, we can often launch the homepage earlier while finishing additional pages. This depends on your specific timeline and needs—we'll discuss options during kickoff.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What do we need to provide before starting?">
    Ideally, you'll have:

    * A clear understanding of your target audience
    * Key messaging and value propositions
    * Product screenshots or access to understand what we're visualizing
    * Existing brand guidelines (if you have them)
    * Examples of websites you like (or don't like)

    Don't worry if not everything is perfect—we'll cover this in the kickoff call.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Collaboration & teams

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Can you work with our existing developer/copywriter?">
    Absolutely. We often collaborate with client teams. For copywriting and positioning specifically, we recommend Fletch PMM for strategic messaging work. We've done many projects together, and our processes align well. We can make an introduction or you can visit their site directly.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Who will be our main point of contact?">
    Our Founder & Creative Director leads strategy and creative direction. You'll work directly with our team throughout, and with our design and development teams during execution. Our team oversees quality and direction at every stage.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do you need access to our product/data?">
    We'll need screenshots and product access to understand what we're visualizing, but we create custom marketing illustrations rather than using raw screenshots directly. This helps us tell your story more effectively than product screenshots alone.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can multiple team members provide feedback?">
    We require one main point person for feedback consolidation. This prevents conflicting directions and keeps the process efficient. Other team members can provide input through the main point of contact.

    <Warning>
      Multiple decision-makers without clear hierarchy creates delays and conflicting feedback. One point person streamlines everything.
    </Warning>
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Pricing & investment

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Is pricing really fixed? What if we need changes?">
    Yes, pricing is fixed. Each package includes revisions during the design and development phases within the defined scope.

    If you need additional revisions beyond what's included, or work outside package scope (like extra pages), we'll discuss pricing upfront. Additional template pages are $1,200 each, or we work at $250/hour for smaller updates.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can we customize a package?">
    Our packages are designed to be complete solutions. If you need something specific that's not included, we can discuss it during the intro call.

    Common customizations (like logo redesign or additional pages) are available as add-ons with clear pricing.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do you offer payment plans?">
    **Homepage + Brand Extension Package:** Full payment upfront (\$12,000)

    **Growth-Ready Website Package:**

    * Standard: Full payment upfront (\$24,000)
    * Split payment: 50% at start, 50% at delivery with 20% fee (total \$28,800)

    For special circumstances, we can discuss alternative payment terms during the intro call.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if we need to pause or cancel?">
    If you need to pause after we've started, we'll work with you to find a solution. The deposit/payment is non-refundable, but we're flexible about rescheduling.

    Cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis. We'll discuss your situation and find a fair resolution.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why is pricing higher than some freelancers?">
    We're not competing with junior freelancers. We're positioning as premium specialists for B2B SaaS companies. Higher prices correlate with more sales in our market because:

    * Professional websites directly impact fundraising success
    * ROI typically seen within first quarter post-launch
    * Much less than enterprise agencies (\$50k-100k+)
    * Includes both design AND development (many only do design files)
    * Specialized B2B SaaS expertise, not general web design
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Industry & experience

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What's your experience with our industry?">
    We specialize exclusively in B2B SaaS across various verticals including AI/ML, fintech, developer tools, and enterprise software. This focused expertise means we understand your unique challenges, audience expectations, and competitive landscape.

    Our entire portfolio, team expertise, and process is built specifically for B2B SaaS companies.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can you show examples from our specific industry?">
    We'll share relevant case studies during the intro call based on your industry and needs. Even when we haven't worked in your exact vertical, our B2B SaaS specialization means we understand the common challenges and requirements across software companies.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What company stages do you work with?">
    We work with B2B SaaS companies from seed to Series A funding stages, typically with $0 to $4M ARR. This range represents companies that have product-market fit and need professional presentation for scaling, fundraising, or competitive positioning.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Technical questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Do we get the design files?">
    Yes. You'll receive full access to the Figma files, including all designs, components, and assets.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Which is better: Framer or Webflow?">
    Both are excellent modern website builders. We'll recommend which is better for your needs during kickoff.

    **Framer** (our preferred): Better animations, first year of Scale plan included (\$1,200 annual value) through our Framer Switch program partnership, Figma-like editing, more modern feel.

    **Webflow:** More established platform, stronger CMS for complex content, larger community.

    We'll choose based on your specific needs for animations, CMS complexity, and platform preferences.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can we use our existing hosting?">
    Framer includes hosting with the Scale plan. Through our Framer Switch program partnership, we cover your first year of the Scale plan (\$1,200 annual value). After the first year, you'll continue on the Scale plan at standard Framer pricing.

    Webflow includes hosting with their plans (\~\$39-100/month depending on plan).

    You can also export from Framer and host elsewhere if needed. We'll discuss hosting options during kickoff based on your preferences.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Will the site be responsive?">
    Yes. All sites are fully responsive and tested across devices. Mobile experience is a priority, especially for B2B SaaS audiences.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do you handle SEO setup?">
    We'll implement basic SEO best practices (meta tags, structure, etc.) during development, but comprehensive SEO strategy isn't included in standard packages.

    We can provide SEO recommendations and direction, or discuss SEO add-on services if needed.
  </Accordion>
